Perforating Guns

Perforating gun assemblies are used to perforate the metal casing of oil and gas wells to prepare for production, using explosive. Predator High-Performance Shaped Perforating Charges tailor the performance to achieve ideal shots densities and hole sizes, for the best total open flow area for maximum reservoir drainage. They were specifically designed to maximize connectivity to the reservoir by penetrating beyond any damaged zone around the wellbore. They are an ideal complement for Baker Hughes’ gravel pack and frac pack systems.

1997 Hart’s E&P Meritorious Award for Engineering Innovation

Baker Oil Tools received the Hart’s E&P Meritorious Award for Engineering Innovation for the Select Fire system in 1997. The award is given for the world’s best new tools and techniques for finding, drilling, and producing oil and gas wells. Entries are judged on innovation of concept or design; ability to solve an actual oilfield problem; and potential for improving profitability, safety or efficiency.
