EDGE Packer Setting System

Baker Oil Tools introduced interventionless completion technology for deepwater wells with the EDGE packer setting system. The EDGE system provides a remote method to set the completion packer, eliminating the need to run a plug on wireline.

Electronics onboard the packer can distinguish the correct sequence of pulses and set the tool when desired. This saves in time and cost and allows for flexible completion designs.
