Baker Oil Tools FracPoint

FracPoint™

Application

Frac-Point toolBaker Oil Tools’ FracPoint™ System enables operators to pinpoint fluid placement and volume during openhole fracturing operations. This cost-effective system establishes openhole isolation between zones, zone lobes, or fault lines, so fracture fluid is delivered where it is needed, for maximum effect.

Advantages

  • One-trip installation saving rig time
  • Rotation and torque-through capabilities through entire system
  • Proven packer and sleeve technology
  • Extensive ball and seat testing to ensure seal during high-pressure bottomhole fractures
  • Patented anti-extrusion element system to ensure pack off in variable hole geometries

Additional Information

The FracPoint™ System is deployed as a one-trip installation and set in place by the application of hydraulic pressure. The isolation and casing packers are set against a ball seat in the shoe of the liner. The rig can then be moved to another location and the fracture treatment pumped when ready. Successive ball sizes are dropped to open their corresponding sleeves. Desired fracture volumes can be displaced with timing of the ball releases to accurately place fracture fluid in each interval. The ball seats in the sleeves can be drilled out later to a full-open string ID.

FracPoint™ EX

New 24-Stage Capabilities

FracPoint EX is the result of recent technological improvements that have increased the number of stages offered for a one-trip packer and sleeve system. This new 24-stage system uses sleeves containing new, patented ball seats enabling 8,000 psi differential and high-frac rates. Since its inception, the FracPoint system has been highly effective for precisely and reliably isolating multiple zones in open and cased holes.
