Olefin/Maleic Polymers-CERAMER™ Polymers
Baker Hughes offers the CERAMER Polymer line of maleic anhydride functional polyolefins. CERAMER Polymers are formed by grafting maleic anhydride with ethylene or olefin based polymers, such as POLYWAX™ Polyethylenes. The low molecular weight and maleic functionality of CERAMER Polymers display enhanced emulsification characteristics and improved compatibility with polymers containing oxygen functional groups.
CERAMER Polymers are supplied by Baker Hughes to enhance product performance in a number of areas, including:
- Improved performance from a variety of polish formulations
- Improved release properties in thermal transfer inks
- Application as an emulsifier and dispersing aid in specialty coatings and inks
- Enhanced mold-release properties in the plastics industry
- Viscosity modification and improved set-up time for specialty hot melt adhesives
