Secondary Oil Recovery - Water Flood/Water Injection
Water Floods and Water Injection
As oilfields mature, natural drive declines and production does too. To maintain reservoir pressure and hydraulically drive oil to producing wells, water from a variety of sources is injected back into the hydrocarbon bearing formation. While proven, water floods have special needs to maintain their efficiency. In particular, water holding tanks and injection systems are often highly susceptible to bacterial growth that can greatly diminish injectivity and increase the risk of corrosion failures. Commingled waters can lead to severe scaling tendencies.
Baker Hughes has the knowledge and expertise to help you safely and efficiently treat produced water for disposal or re-injection. Whatever the problem, whatever the system, Baker
Hughes has options that are right for your water injection needs.
