System Overview - ELECTRIC SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS

Centrilift ESP Replaces Rod System Increasing Initial Production 900%
A 10,000 ft well in the Permian Basin produced via a rod lift system experienced continuous rod failures due to well depth and presence of non-compatible waters.

Description

Centrilift electrical submersible pumps are state-of-the-art multiple stage centrifugal pumps. The Centrilift product range is built for durability and reliability in a wide range of applications ranging from slim-hole oil wells to very high production water wells, to harsh environments and coalbed methane applications (CBM). Multi-stage centrifugal pumps are adaptable to many different environments because they are available in a variety of configurations.

Centrilift pump stages incorporate many optional features including special bearings and coatings. These features allow the pump to handle harsh conditions such as abrasives, salt containing fluids that form deposits of scale and paraffin, or asphaltenes that gradually coat the pump stages and disrupt normal flow. Materials used in the manufacture of pump components vary depending upon the corrosiveness of the well environment.

Centrilift manufactures pump stages designed to handle special conditions such as large amounts of free gas or viscous fluids. When very large amounts of free gas are present, gas separators may be required in lieu of a standard pump intake.
