Description
The Centrilift Centurion? pump line is a revolutionary addition to the submersible pump market. Centurion was developed by some of the most talented engineers in the industry with a goal to deliver a true pump technology breakthrough. Using advanced techniques such as computational fluid dynamics, an innovative computer design program, a pump stage was created that can generate more head than any existing stage in the industry.
Higher head per stage allows shorter pumps to produce the same amount of fluid for a given application. More head per stage can also result in fewer requirements for tandem pumps. Fewer tandem connections mean faster installation time and fewer parts, saving time and money and extending run life. In addition to more head per stage, Centurion has larger vane openings in both the impeller and diffuser. As a result, Centurion stages are less likely to plug when pumping fluids with a high sand content and fluids that deposit scale or paraffins.
The outside diameter (OD) of the 400 series pump housing is 4.00 inches. The 400 series pumps are usually driven by the 450 series motor, but can be used with 562 series motors in larger casings. Smaller stages use an 11/16 inch shaft while larger stages use a 7/8 inch shaft for a maximum of 550 hp at 60 Hz.
Centrilift is the industry leader in severe service pumping applications. The Centurion line of pumps includes mixed and radial flow stage options along with abrasion resistant (AR) designs such as stabilized normal duty (SND), stabilized heavy duty (SHD), stabilized severe duty (SSD) and stabilized extreme duty (SXD). These optional configurations allow operators to select the level of severe service protection best suited to their applications.

Features and Benefits
- Characteristics:
Casing size: 5-1/2 in. casing and larger Outside diameter: 4.00 in. (101.6 mm) Lengths: 2.5 - 23.9 ft. (0.76 - 7.29m) Flow range: 120 - 6,800 BFPD @ 60 Hz 16 - 902 m³/day fluid @ 50 Hz
- Higher lift per stage results in shorter pumps and fewer pump to pump connections
- Higher pumping efficiencies result in more favorable production economics
- Captured bearing in the intake and top bearing, Ni-resist standard, tungsten carbide optional
- 400 pumps boast the highest AR configurations in the industry
- The 400 is capable of handling various levels of aggressive solids, ranging from mild to very severe
- Uses state-of-the-art materials to mitigate the destructive effects of harsh environments
- Each 400 series pump is subjected to a rigorous quality procedure before assembly and is then tested to document performance
