|  Timely Data for Critical Decision-making
RigLinkSM, a new web-based data communications system, keeps the user informed about real-time drilling data needed to make time-critical decisions. With RigLink, the user can view secure, current data from multiple websites around the world, using any computer with an Internet connection.
The RigLink service is easy to use and requires no specialized software or training. Users gain access to the secure RigLink website via common Internet data browsers. Once RigLink is accessed, the user can view this information using one of the many preset data displays.
Additional features include the ability to select conversion units, or modify scales and parameters to create customized screens. With a simple mouse click, the user can capture graphical displays or raw ASCII data for later review.
In addition, the user can program RigLink to notify him whenever certain rig operations or drilling parameters are met.
Secure Data, Simple Access
The RigLink data communications system is carefully engineered to provide quick access to decision critical information. No specialized software is required on the user's computer since the system is accessed through a common web browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer.
RigLink users retrieve well data via a secure link to a password-protected website. Separate sites are maintained for each RigLink client and, if desired, we can place data directly onto a client's Intranet site.
When transmitting wellsite data to the secure site, RigLink uses an efficient transfer method to send its binary data packages. This superior transfer process allows large amounts of data to be transmitted using the basic phone lines commonly found on offshore rigs and other remote well locations.
The data sets accessible to the RigLink user include both realtime and archived MWD data and regular surface sensor information. In addition, RigLink will accept third-party data via WITSML.
