About the VertiTrak^® system

The VertiTrak System keeps a wellbore vertical automatically, without compromising critical drilling parameters - flow rate, WOB or bit speed. High ROP can also be maintained and time-consuming correction runs avoided.

The new VertiTrak Plus kick-off service also permits operators to kick off from vertical to build angle prior to the next casing run, minimizing the possibility of key seats in the curve and reducing the friction and wear in later hole sections.

The resulting significant improvement in hole quality and the precise wellpath achieved can allow the use of "lean casing profiles"- reducing the amount of steel, cement, mud and cuttings. Subsequent operations in the well are simplified and more efficient. Completion life is extended and workover costs reduced.

Vertical Drilling Systems are also beneficial in reducing the wellhead spacing at surface.

VertiTrak systems are available for hole sizes from 8 1/2" to 9 7/8" (6 3/4" tool), and from 12 1/4" to 28" (9 1/2" tool).
